Renting/Tenants

The LCRA acknowledges that property owners may rent out their property, or suites/rooms within their property. It is the responsibility of the property owner/landlord to work with the LCRA Office to arrange lake access for their tenants.

The landlord does not live in the home and wishes to provide their tenants with lake access.

  • In this scenario, the landlord must relinquish their rights to the lake and transfer them to the tenants listed on the form. The landlord will be removed from the property profile, and will have their membership card cancelled, but will be kept on the property account as primary contact.

  • The landlord must attend the LCRA Office to complete a Renters Membership Agreement form – tenants are not permitted to complete this form.

It is up to the landlord to determine how annual LCRA membership fees are paid, whether they pay the fees themselves, or work them into a rental agreement. The LCRA is not responsible, nor are involved, with agreements or disputes between landlords and tenants.
